RollerCoaster Tycoon World
A park-building sim that squanders the RollerCoaster Tycoon legacy with clunky systems and a Metacritic score of 43, approach only if you're desperate for theme park management and own the originals for comparison.
GamerScout Verdict
A flawed management sim that betrays the RollerCoaster Tycoon name, only for diehard park builders with low expectations.

About RollerCoaster Tycoon World
I went in expecting the spiritual successor to a genre classic, and got something that feels unfinished. RollerCoaster Tycoon World tries to modernize the formula with 3D visuals and new management systems, but the UI is sluggish, pathing feels arbitrary, and the early game teaches almost nothing. The park-building core still has bones, and there's something satisfying about watching coasters run, but mission design is repetitive and the economic sim never gains momentum. If you've never played the originals, this might scratch a casual sim itch for a few hours. Anyone with nostalgia for RCT2 will find this a frustrating downgrade, the controls work against you, not with you. Skip this and grab the remaster of RCT Classic instead.
