The balance lands in your Xbox account wallet and is spent inside the store on games, add-ons and other store purchases. Across the 497 listings gathered here from 6 stores there are actually two different things on sale. The currency cards are wallet top-ups. The second group is point and coin packs tied to one specific game, sold at 500, 1000, 1050, 1100, 2000, 2150, 2400, 2800, 3000, 5000, 5850 and 12000, and those only work inside the game they were made for.

The wallet cards come in ten currencies. USD runs 1, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 40, 45, 50, 55, 70, 75, 100 and 120. EUR climbs from 5 to 150 with 30, 35, 45, 60, 75 and 80 along the way, while GBP includes an odd 12 alongside 5 through 50 in fives, plus 70 and 100. BRL tops out at 260, TRY at 600, ZAR at 600, AUD at 100. The Nordic values are bigger numbers: SEK and NOK both start at 50 and reach 1000, DKK stops at 800.

The currency matters more than the number. A card is tied to the store region behind that currency, and your Xbox account country has to match it. A TRY card will not redeem on an account set to the United Kingdom, and switching your account country afterwards is not a reliable fix for a code you have already bought. Many listings carry a Global tag, which describes where the key can be purchased rather than which account can redeem it, so check the currency against your account country first.

Once redeemed, the money is store credit on that one account and nothing else. It does not transfer to another account, it does not convert back to cash, and it does not move between currencies, so a 260 BRL card added to the wrong account simply sits there. That is worth weighing before picking one of the larger values such as SEK 1000, NOK 1000 or DKK 800. Buy the amount you actually plan to spend rather than parking a big balance you may not use.
