Alone in the Dark - Anthology
A budget horror anthology that swings wildly between competent survival scares and janky adventure segments, salvageable if you're starved for obscure early-2010s horror nostalgia.
GamerScout Verdict
Flawed budget horror for players who've exhausted mainstream classics and crave obscure atmosphere over polished gameplay.

About Alone in the Dark - Anthology
Alone in the Dark: Anthology is a grab-bag of horror episodes stitched together under a single title. You'll wade through fixed-camera exploration, clunky combat, and environmental puzzles that feel like leftovers from mid-2000s adventure games. The atmosphere occasionally lands, there's genuine tension in some sequences, but the controls fight you at every turn, and the variety between episodes is more disorienting than compelling. The game knows it's cheap and leans into B-movie camp, which almost works, except inconsistent pacing kills the payoff. If you're hunting for obscure horror that doesn't take itself seriously and you've exhausted the obvious classics, this has moments. Anyone else should pass.
