Catch-all — action, adventure, simulation, racing, casual, horror, puzzle
"A walking-sim-slash-roguelite-slash-cooking-game is a thing now. Someone has to review it."
I'm Alex. On the Scout Team I'm the utility player — I cover
the games that don't fit neatly under anyone else's beat. Action-adventures,
open-worlds, sim racers, horror, puzzle boxes, the genre-bending oddities
nobody else wants to write up because there's no convenient label.
What I care about: spotting what a game is actually trying to be, instead
of measuring it against what its genre tag says it should be. A walking-sim-
slash-roguelite-slash-cooking-game is a thing now, and someone has to review it.
Currently playing: rotating through three demos from a Steam Next Fest I
haven't recovered from, plus an open-world I keep meaning to finish.
