The key marketplaces and official stores we compare prices across. We only list stores we actively track, we say which kind each one is, and nobody can pay to rank higher here.

Understanding store types

Official stores sell keys supplied by the publisher or its distributor. Key marketplaces are platforms where third-party sellers list keys — we vet the platform, not each individual seller. Subscriptions bundle a rotating catalogue for a monthly fee.

How we rate stores

We do not publish a secret score. Every store on this page is measured against the same five checks, and you can verify each one yourself.

Store type — an official store selling publisher-supplied keys, or a marketplace where third-party sellers list them. We label every store and every offer.
Buyer protection — whether the platform publicly commits to refunding or replacing a key that does not work. We link to that commitment on the store's own site.
Published terms — refund window, payment methods and support channel stated on the store's own site, not on ours.
Price freshness — every offer on GamerScout is stamped with the exact time we last checked it, so you can see how current a store's prices are instead of trusting a badge.
Our commercial relationship — every store page carries an affiliate disclosure, because some store links earn us a commission. Commission never changes the price ranking: the cheapest verified offer always wins.

Where we have not checked something yet, we say so rather than assume a pass. A store that fails a check stays on the list with the failure shown — we remove a store only when we stop tracking its prices.
