About Blood: Fresh Supply
I went into Blood: Fresh Supply expecting a straight remaster of the original Monolith shooter, and that's mostly what I got. It's a fast-paced, guns-blazing campaign with solid level design that rewards exploration and secrets. The freshened-up graphics make the grotesque art direction pop without losing the game's grimy, over-the-top 90s personality. Gameplay holds up: gunplay feels meaty, enemy AI is respectable, and the difficulty modes actually matter. That said, this isn't a ground-up remake. It's a port with quality-of-life tweaks, and some seams show. The humor leans hard into shock value that hasn't aged gracefully, and if you weren't already a fan, the remaster won't convert you. No new content, no modernized narrative. It's a straightforward "here's the original, prettier" job. Works great if you want a retro FPS with teeth and a dark sense of fun. Skip if you need contemporary level design or storytelling.
