I booted this up expecting at least competent WW2 action. The Royal Marines Commando is set in 1941 with a premise about stopping a German superweapon, but the execution is rough. Movement feels sluggish, gunplay has no weight, and the level design is repetitive corridors with predictable enemy spawns. The graphics are dated even for 2018, textures are muddy, and there's minimal atmosphere or storytelling to hook you. This isn't a hidden gem or a cult classic. It's a game that exists because someone shipped it, not because there was a vision worth playing. If you want WW2 shooters, Wolfenstein, Splinter Cell Chaos Theory, or even old Medal of Honour titles are infinitely more fun. Pass on this one.
