I went into Art of Murder expecting a tense psychological whodunit, and the setup is there: you're FBI agent Nicole Bonnet investigating a serial killer by reconstructing crime scenes and profiling suspects. The core mechanic of stepping into the murderer's mindset has potential, and the puzzle-driven investigation structure should click for adventure fans who enjoyed classics like the Sherlock Holmes series. But the game fumbles the landing. Dialogue feels clunky, the pacing drags between revelations, and some puzzle logic requires leaps that feel arbitrary rather than clever. The production values are budget-tier even for 2018, with stiff animations and uninspired environments. It's not broken, just... thin. If you're desperate for a detective adventure and can overlook rough edges, there's a mystery here to solve. Just don't expect it to grip you.
