Sogetsu asks for patience before he gives you anything back. He is a spacing character built around water projectiles and float-heavy movement, so the first few sessions are mostly you whiffing pokes and learning where his range actually ends. This is a DLC character pack, which means it does nothing on its own and requires SAMURAI SHODOWN (the 2019 release) installed to work. What you get is the fighter himself plus his associated unlocks, and the store listing spells out exactly which extras ride along with him. Who it's for: players already deep enough into Samurai Shodown to want a defensive zoner in their pocket, or completionists filling out the roster. Everyone else, including anyone who never got past the base cast, can skip it without missing anything structural. Online opponents who own the game can still fight you when you pick him, which is the usual courtesy for character DLC in this series.
