Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves

I've spent time with City of the Wolves, and it's clear SNK built this around spectacle and momentum. The REV System is the mechanical hook here - a resource that builds during combos and lets you unleash powered-up attacks that shift the flow of a round. It's not revolutionary, but it forces you to keep pressure on rather than turtle and poke. The art style pops immediately, all cel-shaded character work against detailed urban backdrops. Online play runs solid cross-platform, and the roster is lean but deliberate. If you're a Fatal Fury veteran, you'll spot the familiar framework; if you're new, the learning curve is steep but not hostile. This isn't trying to dethrone Street Fighter 6 or Tekken 8. It's SNK making a statement that the series still matters. Whether that's enough depends entirely on whether you care about the franchise or want something different from the current fighting game stack.
