Just Hero
Three hours, one green man in a hat, and twenty minutes of jump physics that actively resent you. Push past that and there's a scrappy little revenge story worth finishing.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth it for patient platformer fans who can forgive twenty rough minutes to reach a sincere three-hour story.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Just Hero
The first hour is where most people bounce, and I understand why. Your green-hatted hero moves like he's suspended in something thicker than air, and the floaty jump arc means you will overshoot ledges repeatedly until your hands recalibrate. That's roughly twenty minutes of genuine friction, and the Mixed rating on Steam is largely people who quit inside it. But the game does settle. Once you stop fighting the momentum and start planning landings a beat early, the platforming reads as deliberate rather than broken, and a solo developer's fingerprints show up everywhere in the pixel work. What holds it together is that the revenge plot is played straight. No winking, no self-aware jokes undercutting the mood, just a small sincere story told in about three hours by someone who meant it. The achievements are generous, controller support is clean, and it knows exactly when to stop. It is slight, it is rough at the edges, and it will not change your week. But there's real handcraft in here, and short games that respect your evening deserve more patience than this one usually gets.
