Zombie Rush

Zombie Rush is an endless 2D shooter where you gun down waves of zombies, rack up points, and unlock new characters and levels. The core feedback loop is tight: aim, shoot, dodge, repeat. It's the kind of game that works fine in five-minute bursts between other things, and the character/location unlocks give you a thread of progression to chase. The problem is there's not much meat on the bones. No special mechanics, no weapon variety, no real strategies to discover. It's functional and inoffensive, but after a few rounds you've seen everything the game has to offer. If you want a straightforward arcade shooter you can play for ten minutes without thinking, it scratches that itch. Otherwise, there are plenty of free browser games doing exactly this.
