About Branches
I spent an hour with Branches expecting a mobile-port timewaster, and that's exactly what I got. You draw lines connecting numbered nodes on a grid, solving increasingly fiddly spatial puzzles. The mechanic is pure: no timers, no lives, just your ability to route paths without crossing. It works because the difficulty curve knows when to quit - early puzzles ease you in, then the mid-game throws enough knots at you to feel earned when you solve them. There's not much else here. No story, no leaderboards, no bells. It's a 2021 indie puzzle game that knows its lane and stays in it. If you want a brain-calm puzzle fix for 90 minutes and don't need production value, Branches delivers. Everyone else: skip.
