GamerScout Verdict
Worth a few afternoons of dumb fun if you enjoy turn-based artillery; skip if you demand precision-based 2D Worms mechanics.

About Worms Ultimate Mayhem Deluxe Edition
I approach 3D Worms titles with skepticism, and Ultimate Mayhem's Metacritic score (66) suggests plenty of others do too. The core loop is intact: turn-based artillery warfare, destructible terrain, physics-based aiming. What's different is the camera angle and the loss of the grid-locked precision fans expect. Angles feel more forgiving but less skill-rewarding, and the AI can be erratic. This is still solid pick-up-and-play strategy if you want silly turn-based combat without commitment. Solo campaign is brief, but multiplayer (local and online) delivers the chaos the series promises. The Deluxe Edition bundles extra cosmetics and weapons. Skip this if you're a 2D Worms purist chasing pixel-perfect grenade trajectories; buy it if you just want goofy cartoon destruction on a lazy afternoon.
