The best thing about this bundle is that Frontier put animals in it. The Deluxe Edition of Planet Zoo adds a handful of exclusive species (the pygmy hippo, Komodo dragon, thylacine and Arctic wolf are the headliners) plus three themed habitat pieces and a wallpaper set. Animals are the entire currency of this game, so extra ones are not shelf-filler the way a soundtrack or an art book would be. The wallpapers are, obviously, filler. The base game underneath is Frontier's zoo management sim: you dig terrain by hand, route guest paths, manage staff and breeding programs, and fuss over animal welfare stats until the enclosure finally goes green. Who should take the upgrade: builders who intend to sink dozens of hours into a career zoo and will feel the missing species. Who should not: anyone testing whether the deep, fiddly construction tools click for them on a controller, because that is the real gate here, not the animal roster. Buy the standard edition first, upgrade if the sandbox hooks you.
