Mighty Switch Force! Collection

I spent a few hours with Mighty Switch Force and found myself in a weird middle ground. The core mechanic is elegant: you're a cop chasing criminals through side-scrolling levels, swapping foreground and background layers to solve environmental puzzles and navigate hazards. It's the kind of simple idea that WayForward executes with polish and personality, backed by a vibrant pixel aesthetic that still holds up. Levels are bite-sized, designed to be completed in one or two attempts once you spot the solution. The catch is difficulty. If you're hunting for a grueling platformer, this isn't it. Mighty Switch Force pitches itself at anyone who enjoys mechanical problem-solving over reflexes, and the collection format means you get multiple entries to sample that flavor. It's good at what it does, just not ambitious. Come for the clever switching puzzles and the WayForward art direction; don't expect a sleeper hit that reinvents the genre.
