METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN - Tuxedo
Snake in a tuxedo is a series tradition going back to MGS3 -- this DLC unlocks that look in MGSV, but know exactly what you're buying before you click add to cart.
GamerScout Verdict
Worth it only for series fans who want the Snake Eater visual callback -- zero gameplay impact, zero content added.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

About METAL GEAR SOLID V: THE PHANTOM PAIN - Tuxedo
I'll be straight with you: this is a cosmetic DLC, not a game, not an expansion, and not a content drop. The Tuxedo is a single outfit unlock for MGSV: The Phantom Pain, letting you dress Venom Snake (and male Diamond Dogs soldiers) in the formal black suit that Naked Snake is said to have worn during Operation Snake Eater. If you already know what that means to you as a series fan, you've already made your decision. The tuxedo has been a recurring visual in Metal Gear since the earliest entries, appearing across MGS1 through Peace Walker. In The Phantom Pain, the costume was not included in the base game despite being something of a franchise staple, which caused genuine frustration among longtime fans at launch. The outfit has to be developed through the iDroid after meeting story progress requirements and R&D conditions, so it isn't a simple wardrobe swap from minute one. It works for Snake or male DD soldiers, but it is locked out of Metal Gear Online entirely. Functionally, the tuxedo is a purely aesthetic piece. It carries no stat bonuses or tactical advantages over what you can develop through normal gameplay. The base game's Leather Jacket, unlocked by clearing Mission 46, fills a similar visual niche without costing anything extra. If you want combat performance, the sneaking suits and battle dress in the base game handle that without a DLC purchase involved. The honest pitch here is narrow. Series veterans who want the full visual callback to Big Boss's Snake Eater era, and who care about how their operator and forward operating base soldiers look during missions and cutscenes, will find this scratches that specific itch. Anyone hoping for new mechanics, missions, weapons, or story content should look elsewhere in the MGSV DLC catalogue. The game underneath remains one of the most tactically open stealth-action experiences ever built, with remarkable freedom in how you approach objectives, a deep Fulton extraction loop, and an open world that rewards creative play. This DLC just lets you do all of that in a suit.
