Somewhere around the second day of festival prep, I picked the option to help with decorations instead of the food stall, and the whole afternoon reshuffled into a two-person conversation I hadn't seen coming. That is the shape of this thing: a short, choice-driven visual novel where the branching isn't about consequence so much as about which character gets to fill your screen for the next twenty minutes. Konami keeps the structure light, one school festival, a handful of prep tasks, affection nudged along by dialogue picks, and leans hard on voice and art to carry the rest. Save-anywhere, full controller support, achievements for the routes you missed. The catch is right there in the pitch: it assumes you already love these characters. Strip out the years of manga history and you get a pleasant but thin slice-of-life story with almost no tension and a playthrough you'll finish in an evening. Fans won't mind, and the near-unanimous positive reviews say as much. Everyone else will wonder what the fuss is.
