GamerScout Verdict
A no-frills roguelike platformer for players who crave procedural chaos and reflex-based punishment over narrative.

About Meganoid
I spent a few hours with Meganoid expecting a straightforward action platformer and got something closer to a roguelike crucible instead. Every run through its procedurally-generated spaceship plays differently, with security drones and trap layouts that demand quick reflexes and pattern recognition. The upgrade system lets you tailor each run's difficulty - grab powerful gear early and breeze through, or skip them for a hardcore challenge. It's relentlessly unforgiving, which is the whole point. The controls are tight, the pixel art is clean, and there's a real sense of progression as you learn enemy behavior. If you're the type who enjoys repeated attempts and speedrun-like optimization, Meganoid clicks. If you need story beats or breathing room between difficulty spikes, this one will frustrate you fast.
