About Ashworld
I spent a few hours in Ashworld expecting a desert-crawler with depth, and found instead a lean survival arcade game that knows exactly what it wants to be. You're looting the Ragelands for resources, crafting gear, and fighting off Ragers and nocturnal Skellies in a loop that works because the economy is tight and every item counts. Driving is snappy, and the controller support makes exploration feel natural. The catch: combat is clunky. Melee feels floaty, feedback is muted, and ranged combat lacks the punch to make fights satisfying. It's functional enough to push you forward, but not fun enough to seek out. If you're after a survival game that prizes scavenging over combat mechanics, Ashworld delivers. Anyone hunting for weighty action will bounce off.
