Gentlemen is a scrappy indie action game from over a decade ago that doesn't take itself seriously for a second. The core loop is straightforward: bash enemies with whatever's handy, dodge when you can, and watch the game's British humor try to keep pace with the mayhem. Combat is loose and forgiving in a way that feels more goofy than intentional, but if you're the type who finds jank endearing rather than frustrating, there's a weird charm here. The problem is obvious: this is a 2013 indie project with all the rough edges that implies. The visuals are minimal, the difficulty curve is basically nonexistent, and the novelty of the humor wears thin fast.
