Arsene Lupin - Once a Thief
A point-and-click adventure about the young Arsène Lupin that trades heist thrills for leisurely investigation and dialogue. If you want a chill detective game with literary charm, this scratches that itch.
GamerScout Verdict
For point-and-click adventure fans who want slower investigation over action, with literary charm to match.

About Arsene Lupin - Once a Thief
I went in expecting a slick heist game and found something slower and more cerebral instead. Arsène Lupin - Once a Thief is a classic point-and-click adventure where you investigate mysteries, gather clues, and talk to NPCs in early 1900s Paris. The writing leans into the Maurice Leblanc source material, and if you're familiar with those stories, there's real pleasure in watching young Lupin's origin unfold. It's not flashy or action-packed, just methodical puzzle-solving and character interaction. The game assumes you'll enjoy the pace of old-school adventure games. That means no hand-holding, inventory puzzles, and a lot of reading. Controller support is there if you want it, but this is fundamentally mouse-and-click territory. It's niche by design, and that's fine. Not every game needs to be for everyone.
