A tower-defense trifle where your crystal income is the real boss fight, and 77% of Steam agrees it's pleasant, brief, and gone by the weekend.

Crystal flow is the whole game here. Fort Defense hands you a fixed pool of towers along a pirate-infested coast, but the actual decision every wave is whether to sink resources into another gun or into the economy structures that pay for the next three. Skimp on the crystal engine and wave three eats your fort while you watch a half-built cannon tick toward completion. That single tension makes an otherwise plain tower-defense loop feel like a small optimization puzzle, and Creobit is smart enough to keep the maps short so you can restart a botched opening in seconds rather than minutes. What it doesn't have is depth past the surface. There's no character work, no arc, no worldbuilding beyond generic skull-and-crossbones set dressing, and the campaign runs out well before the mechanics get interesting. Steam calls it Adventure and RPG; it is neither. Treat it as a casual puzzler you keep in the background with achievements and trading cards attached, and it delivers exactly that. Ask it for more and it just stares back at you, wave after identical wave. Monika, Scout Team

GamerScout Verdict

Fine for a weekend of casual wave-clearing, but don't expect the RPG or Adventure tags to mean anything.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.
