GamerScout Verdict
Best for solo-friendly MMO players willing to push past a slow tutorial to reach genuinely great story and raid content.

About Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn + 30 Days Included
I've logged serious time in FFXIV, and here's the thing: the base game from 2013 is a slog, but stick with it and you're buying into the best story-driven MMO on PC. The combat is slower than action-focused rivals, but the job system lets you swap classes on one character without rerolling. The raiding endgame is genuinely excellent, dungeons are well-designed, and the community is uncommonly helpful for an online game. The 30-day trial period included here is honest - you'll know if you're willing to pay the monthly sub by then. Main caveat: early quest pacing is genuinely tedious, and the subscription model isn't for everyone. If you bounce off the first 50 hours, that's fair. But if you make it to the expansions (Heavensward onward), you're looking at hundreds of hours of solid content that actually respects your time with story, character arcs, and meaningful progression.
