Compare Dishonored Definitive Edition prices across trusted key stores and find the best deal. Developed by Arkane Studios. Published by Bethesda Softworks. Released on 10/8/2012. Available on PC, Xbox. Genres: Action, Adventure. Metacritic score: 91/100.

A 2012 stealth-action masterpiece where supernatural powers and level design let you solve assassination contracts in wildly different ways every time.

I've replayed Dishonored more than most games deserve, and it holds up because the core loop is airtight. You're a wronged assassin with time-bending powers (Blink teleport, rat summoning, stun grenades) dropped into hand-crafted maps full of guards, civilians, and target routes. The genius is that you're never forced into one approach. Slaughter everyone, ghost through undetected, possess bodies, or set up elaborate traps. The level design rewards creativity in ways most modern games don't bother attempting. It's not perfect. The story beats feel rushed in places, and some supernatural abilities border on overpowered once you understand them. But that's almost the appeal: you get to break the game your way, and the developer clearly anticipated it. Frame rate and animation tech are now obviously dated, but the systems design remains sharp. If you want a stealth game that respects player agency instead of locking you into one intended path, this is essential. Alex, Scout Team

A 2012 stealth sandbox that still outthinks most modern games at level design and player freedom.
