GamerScout Verdict
For players who want pure fighting mechanics without narrative overhead, though don't expect lasting replayability.

About BRAWL
BRAWL is a lean indie action game from Bloober Team that does one thing: let you throw punches. Released in 2015, it's the kind of game that respects your time - no cutscenes to skip, no dialogue trees, just arena-style combat encounters. The mechanics are straightforward: move, hit, don't get hit. It's built for gamepads and plays like a spiritual throwback to arcade beat-em-ups, stripped of the pixel art nostalgia angle. Works best as a palette cleanser between story-heavy titles. The downside: BRAWL never really distinguishes itself. No progression systems, minimal variety in opponent types, and a complete absence of online presence means it's already a niche pick nine years on. It's not broken, just extremely bare-bones. If you're hunting a satisfying punch-'em-up with depth, this isn't it. If you want 30 minutes of uncomplicated fighting on a lazy evening, you could do worse.
