ACA NEOGEO METAL SLUG 3 (Xbox One)

Metal Slug 3 is pure 90s arcade action: you're a soldier mowing through alien invaders with a rifle, grenades, and the occasional tank or helicopter. The pixel art is absurdly detailed for its era, and the level design throws everything at you without mercy. Expect to die a lot, feed quarters (conceptually), and restart from checkpoints. This is a faithful port of the arcade cabinet, not a modern remake. That means janky hitboxes by today's standards, brutal difficulty spikes, and no assist modes. But if you grew up feeding arcades or just love tight, reaction-based shooting, the core loop still hits. The run-and-gun formula influenced decades of action games for a reason. It's short (one sitting), punishing, and absolutely focused on what it does.
