Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V: Shay vs Dennis
Two pre-built decks and a handful of campaign duels tacked onto Legacy of the Duelist - worth it only if you specifically want the Raidraptor or Performage cards in your collection.

About Yu-Gi-Oh! ARC-V: Shay vs Dennis
I'll be straight with you: this is a DLC pack for Yu-Gi-Oh! Legacy of the Duelist, not a standalone game, and evaluating it as anything else would be doing you a disservice. If you landed here expecting a full product, stop - you need the base game first, full stop. What you actually get here is two pre-constructed decks, a Raidraptor build and a Performage build, plus a small addition of duels dropping into the ARC-V Campaign and Challenge Mode. The Raidraptor archetype is genuinely interesting for anyone who appreciates Xyz-focused play. The deck revolves around stacking Rank-Up Magic spells to climb through Raidraptor monster tiers, and if you find that loop satisfying in Legacy of the Duelist's card pool, these pre-built cards give you a functional starting point without grinding the in-game shop. Performage, on the other side of the matchup, leans into Pendulum Summoning with a theatrical performer theme tied to Dennis as a character from ARC-V. Neither deck is a competitive tournament build by any stretch, but both are thematically coherent with their respective ARC-V characters, which is presumably the point. The Campaign duels follow Legacy of the Duelist's standard structure: you play through the Shay perspective, then have the option to flip it in a Reverse Duel and run the opponent's side. It is a short addition. We are talking a small number of story duels, not a meaty content injection. Challenge Mode entries tied to these characters add marginal replay value, but if you were hoping this would meaningfully extend your time in the base game, adjust expectations downward. The community consensus on all the ARC-V character DLC packs for this game has generally been that they function as card collection shortcuts more than genuine gameplay expansions. Here is the practical question: do you want those specific Raidraptor and Performage cards without farming in-game currency? Each DLC in this series hands you three copies of every card in the pack automatically, skipping the card shop grind entirely. That is the actual value proposition. If you are building a specific deck in Legacy of the Duelist and these archetypes fit your plan, that convenience has real worth. If you are not actively playing the base game or do not care about either archetype, this has nothing to offer you. There is no standalone experience here, no reason to revisit if you have already moved on, and no content that will impress a casual viewer. Fred, Scout Team
