Compare WWE 2K25 prices across trusted key stores and find the best deal. Developed by Visual Concepts. Published by 2K. Released on 3/13/2025. Available on PC, Xbox, Nintendo Switch. Genres: Simulation, Sports.

Solid in-ring mechanics and a 300-plus roster make this the sharpest wrestling sim in years, but PC players get a cut-down build and the VC grind will test your patience.

I'm not a wrestling obsessive, but I know a tight control system when I feel one, and WWE 2K25 has one of the better ones Visual Concepts has shipped. The momentum-based grapple engine feels more responsive than its predecessors, chain wrestling is back as an actual mini-game rather than a button-prompt afterthought, and the addition of intergender matches, for the first time since the SmackDown vs. Raw era, genuinely opens up how you build exhibition cards. Underground matches, which are basically no-ropes MMA brawls decided by KO or submission, add a compact, nasty match type worth rotating in. Bloodline Rules matches let you call in up to three run-ins on your behalf, which is chaotic fun whether you're using current Bloodline members or watching the AI pair Stone Cold with three legends who have no business being there. The core, hold-for-hold experience is the best this series has felt in a long time. Modes are stacked but uneven. Showcase mode covers the Bloodline dynasty narrated by Paul Heyman, and it's the best Showcase has been in years, partly because all match scenes are now rendered in-engine rather than cutting awkwardly to archive footage mid-match. MyRise, called "Mutiny" this year, follows a group of NXT wrestlers trying to take over Raw and SmackDown, and the branching personality system (brash or comedic) gives it real replay value. MyGM now supports online simulation matches, which is the kind of addition that makes async management sessions with a friend genuinely worth scheduling. Universe mode gets promos back, which longtime fans have been asking about for a while. Here is where PC players specifically need to pay attention. The Island, the new shared-world online PvP and PvE hub built around Roman Reigns's Samoa-inspired setting, is not available on PC. Full stop. It is exclusive to PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. That is a meaningful content gap in a full-priced release, and 2K has offered no timeline for bringing it over. On top of that, the Virtual Currency system runs through nearly every mode. VC trickles in slowly from match wins, it is required to upgrade your created wrestler and unlock card packs in MyFaction, and the drip rate is clearly tuned to make spending real money feel like the logical option. That design sits badly in a premium-priced title and it is the loudest criticism across almost every review out there. On the technical side, PC performance on capable hardware is generally stable with fast load times and smooth high framerates. Online play has a known lag problem that some players have learned to exploit, which is a legitimate netcode concern. The commentary team of Michael Cole, Corey Graves, and Byron Saxton is genuinely stale at this point. Character model quality is inconsistent across the 300-plus roster. These are real warts, but none of them sink the experience the way 2K20's launch did. The foundation here is solid, and the in-ring action is good enough that even players who treat online modes as optional will find plenty to do. If you are a PC-only player who was excited about The Island, manage expectations hard before purchasing. If you care primarily about exhibition matches, MyGM with a friend, MyRise, and Showcase, the PC version still delivers a deep, well-produced wrestling sim that is the best available option in the genre. The VC grind is annoying but skippable if you stay out of MyFaction. For returning 2K fans, the improvements to chain wrestling, match variety, and Showcase production alone justify the upgrade from 2K24. Fred, Scout Team

Best for wrestling fans who prioritize in-ring depth and local or online GM play; PC buyers should know The Island is console-exclusive.
