Two flying heroes for Stormcast and Orruk mains only - this pack adds genuine tactical variety to PvP and Conquest, but means nothing if you're not already deep in Realms of Ruin's roster.

I've spent enough time with Realms of Ruin's competitive layer to tell you exactly who this DLC is for: players who have already committed to either the Stormcast Eternals or the Orruk Kruleboyz, are comfortable with the base game's rock-paper-scissors unit triangle, and want a new hero to twist their Conquest or PvP loadout around. If that's not you, close the tab. The two heroes here are meaningfully different from what each faction already fields. Yndrasta, the Celestial Spear, is a high-mobility flying unit for the Stormcast side - she can dive into a melee, chuck her spear Thengevar to disrupt enemy squads and apply a morale buff to her own troops, then extract before getting locked into the base game's punishing melee-pin mechanic. For a faction that often feels like it pushes straight lines, that aerial flexibility is a real option, not a gimmick. Gobsprakk, the Mouth of Mork, is arguably the more impactful addition: he gives the Orruk Kruleboyz their first flying unit in the game, riding a Corpse-Rippa Vulcha and functioning as a late-game assault hero who rallies Orruk cohorts while unloading destructive abilities on whoever he dives at. The Kruleboyz roster leaned ground-bound and attrition-heavy before this; Gobsprakk opens a vertical threat that opponents can't just screen with defensive infantry. Here's the honest context, though. The base game itself landed with a mixed reception - critics and Steam reviewers alike pointed to shallow tactical depth, sluggish unit movement, and an AI that sometimes retreats its own squads toward newly-joined reinforcements mid-push rather than pressing the advantage. None of that is fixed by two hero units. The underlying system is a streamlined MOBA-adjacent RTS where heroes already play an outsized role because the unit cap keeps army sizes small. Adding Yndrasta and Gobsprakk into that system is useful precisely because hero choices matter a lot in such a constrained format - but it also means the DLC's value ceiling is tied directly to how much you enjoy a game that a significant portion of its playerbase has already moved on from. Online match availability was cited as a concern even close to launch, so treat this as Conquest-and-skirmish-first content. For the right buyer - someone actively queueing in 1v1 or 2v2 cross-platform matches, or grinding Conquest with one of these two specific factions - both heroes represent genuine roster depth. Yndrasta's spear-throw utility and Gobsprakk's late-game assault profile each play differently enough to justify the slot in your pre-match hero selection. For everyone else, this is narrow faction DLC attached to a base game that already splits opinion sharply. Both heroes are also included in the Ultimate Edition if you're starting from scratch, which is the smarter entry point anyway. Diego, Scout Team
