This Hero Pack adds two named characters, the Celestial Spear (a Stormcast Eternals hero) and the Mouth of Mork (an Orruk Warclans hero), to that roster. It is a pure content drop with no campaign missions, no new maps, and no mechanical systems attached. If you were hoping for a reason to reinstall, this is not it. From a strategic standpoint, hero units in Realms of Ruin serve a mid-game role as high-cost, high-impact pieces that swing local engagements. The Celestial Spear leans into a mobile, hit-and-run support profile suited to players who already run Stormcast lists with an eye on flanking and objective harassment. The Mouth of Mork brings a more disruptive, front-line presence that fits the Orruk faction's existing brawler identity. Neither unit fundamentally changes build order theory for their faction, but both add meaningful variation to the PvP meta, which is worth something given how limited the roster currently feels. The core problem is context. Realms of Ruin itself sits at a mixed reception on Steam, with just over half of its reviews positive across more than three thousand responses. The criticisms that land hardest, repetitive mission design, AI that struggles at higher difficulties, and a multiplayer community that never grew to a healthy size, are not problems a hero pack can solve. Dropping paid content into a game with these structural issues is a gamble, and the value calculation depends almost entirely on whether you are actively playing competitive matches. For the committed PvP player who logs into Realms of Ruin weekly and already owns the base game, two well-differentiated hero units at this price point is a reasonable addition. For anyone sitting on the fence about the base game, start there and see whether the multiplayer population is alive enough to justify it before considering any DLC.
