Vampire: The Masquerade - Shadows of New York Deluxe Edition
A text-heavy Kindred noir where the Deluxe extras set mood rather than add story, so the upsell only pays off if soundtracks are something you actually replay.
GamerScout Verdict
For World of Darkness readers who want more Julia and a strong score; everyone else loses nothing with the standard edition.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Vampire: The Masquerade - Shadows of New York Deluxe Edition
The first hour landed on me as a wall of text with almost no verbs. Shadows of New York is a visual novel wearing Vampire: The Masquerade's coat, so if you came for combat or an open city to prowl, that friction never resolves and you should bail early rather than grind at it. Push through only if noir mood, Kindred politics and a genuinely sharp protagonist in Julia are the draw. The choices are narrow, but the writing is not. The Deluxe tier is the part to be skeptical about. It bundles the extras publishers reach for when there is no extra game to sell: soundtrack and digital art material rather than new scenes, endings, or characters. The score is good enough to justify itself if you play with headphones and actually revisit playlists. Everyone else gets the identical story from the standard edition. Take Deluxe as a small tip to a studio whose writing you liked, not as content.
