About The Settlers 7
I went in expecting The Settlers 7 to build on two decades of franchise history, but it mostly recycles the old blueprint without fixing what made earlier entries feel dated. You're micromanaging resource chains, constructing buildings, and growing your settlement tile by tile. The core loop works fine if you remember when this formula felt fresh, but the UI is clunky, the pacing drags, and there's no tutorial that actually teaches you how to survive the early game without restarting. Where it clicks is in the slower-burn scenarios where you can ignore combat entirely and just optimize your economy. For players who loved the original Settlers games and want more of that, this scratches the itch. For everyone else, there are better city-builders now.
