Tekken 7 is a 3D fighting game, not a strategy sim, so I'll keep this brief: the engine feels responsive on PC, the 40+ character roster has genuine mechanical variety, and the story mode (following the Mishima clan warfare) does what most fighting games don't, it's engaging without feeling like a tutorial wrapper. Rollback netcode came later via patches, so online stability improved significantly post-launch. Where it stumbles: balance patches shifted the meta repeatedly, and by 2024 the competitive scene has moved past it. But if you're learning fighting game fundamentals, the tutorial respects your time better than many peers, and local split-screen with a friend or gamepad collection still hits.
