About Shadowgate 2
I went in expecting another faithful point-and-click remake in the style of the 2014 Shadowgate, but this sequel actually swings for something different. It keeps the puzzle-hunting and item-combining DNA of the original while letting you walk freely through a castle rendered in proper 3D instead of hopping between static scenes. It's a modest upgrade that makes the world feel less like a stage set and more like a place you're actually exploring. The catch is you're buying into a very niche thing: slow-paced, inventory-heavy adventuring with no hand-holding and zero combat. If you loved the 2014 remake's atmosphere and logic puzzles, you'll probably dig this. If you need constant forward momentum or fast-paced action, skip it. Controls work fine with a controller, which helps when you're just wandering the halls looking for clues. It's a straightforward sequel for people who want more of what worked before, nothing revolutionary.
