Robinson Crusoe and the Cursed Pirates
A point-and-click adventure that trades Robinson Crusoe's survival struggles for voodoo curses and pirate mysteries, landing somewhere between casual adventure game and hidden-object puzzle.
GamerScout Verdict
For casual adventure fans okay with a short, straightforward story that doesn't quite land its voodoo premise.

About Robinson Crusoe and the Cursed Pirates
I went in expecting a Robinson Crusoe story and found something stranger: a 2015 point-and-click adventure where the famous castaway and Friday wash up on a cursed island plagued by voodoo magic and pirate lore. The core loop is inventory-based puzzle solving and environment exploration, leaning hard on the casual adventure formula where you click around looking for items and dialogue clues. It's straightforward stuff, the kind of game that doesn't demand you to think three steps ahead, and for a sub-5 tier title, that's actually fine if exploration and story are your draws. The problem is the execution feels thin. The voodoo premise promises atmosphere but lands flat, and the writing doesn't give Friday or the pirates much personality to latch onto. At a couple of hours long, it's barely substantial enough to form opinions about. If you're a completionist hunting every casual adventure game from the early 2010s, you'll know what you're getting. Everyone else should check if the premise actually clicks for them before committing.
