About Remnant II
The store page sells Remnant II as a Souls-like shooter with procedurally generated worlds, and that undersells the odd, interesting thing it actually does. The generation is not just shuffled corridors. Each playthrough rolls different biomes, different questlines and often different bosses entirely, so your run and your friend's run can share almost nothing but the tutorial. That makes the Archetype system (the class layer, freely mixed two at a time) worth taking seriously, because build crafting is what carries you through repeat visits. Gunplay is heavy and deliberate, weakpoints matter, and boss fights ask for pattern reading rather than reflex spam. Where it disappoints: the story is thin connective tissue, some rolled areas are clearly weaker than others, and solo players eat a difficulty spike that three-player co-op smooths over. Performance has been a talking point too. If you want a curated, handcrafted campaign, look elsewhere. If you want a loop you and two friends can grind for secrets, this is one of the better ones.
