Professional Farmer: American Dream plants you on a Midwest ranch with basic crop management, livestock handling, and equipment upgrades. The systems work fine in isolation - soil mechanics exist, seasons matter, prices fluctuate - but they never mesh into the kind of strategic layer that makes games like Farming Simulator 22 compelling. You'll buy seeds, tend fields, sell harvests. Repeat for 10 hours and you've seen everything. This is a game designed for absolute newcomers to the genre, which is fine, but it offers no reason to stick around once you've grasped the loop. No dynamic events, weak AI market simulation, and minimal customization depth. Controller support is welcome, but plays second fiddle to mouse-and-keyboard ergonomics.
