GamerScout Verdict
Quick, low-stress defense game perfect for 20-minute sessions; thin on depth but solid on the core hold-the-line feeling.

About Plentypede
I spent a couple hours with Plentypede expecting a full tower-defense sim, but it's more intimate than that. You're a lone operator defending an outpost against waves of enemies called Urcash and his troops. The core loop is simple: position yourself strategically, use your abilities, and survive incoming waves. It's casual enough to pick up and play in 20-minute bursts, with a straightforward difficulty curve that doesn't punish trial-and-error too harshly. What works is the core defensive pressure and the satisfaction of holding ground. What doesn't is the lack of depth once you've seen a few waves. There's not much variation in enemy types or a compelling progression system to chase. It's a one-trick concept executed cleanly, and that's fine for what it is. If you want a chill action-adjacent game that doesn't demand much brain power but still scratches the "hold the line" itch, Plentypede delivers. Just don't expect anything revolutionary.
