I went in expecting a tactical layer on top of action sequences, but Operation Swat is straightforward squad command during real-time encounters. You direct three AI teammates through rescue ops, issuing movement and engagement orders while managing positioning and loadout choices. The trading card system ties to squad customization, which adds a light progression loop, but don't expect Jagged Alliance depth here. This is a 2017 indie title with no Steam review corpus and no Metacritic footprint, which tells you everything about its reach. The core loop works if you want low-commitment tactical decisions without the 100-hour commitment. It's functional, not polished, and the hostage-rescue premise never quite lands with the weight it deserves. Worth a shot if you're browsing sub-5 dollar bins and want something between a mobile game and a proper tactics sim.
