Where StarCraft has you build armies, Offworld Trading Company has you build market positions, and this add-on only makes sense if you already own that base game. Standalone it does nothing. The Patron and the Patriot is an inline content pack for Mohawk's economic RTS, extending the pool of playable options and scenario content you take into those price-war matches; the store listing carries the exact item breakdown, and I would rather point you there than guess at it. Worth grabbing if you play enough multiplayer to want more variety in your opening strategies, or if you collect everything Mohawk ships. Anyone still learning the base game's supply chains and market timing can skip it for now.
