It is DLC, so it needs Offworld Trading Company installed to do anything at all. What it drops in is a set of maps built from real Martian surface data rather than the game's usual generated terrain, which means fixed resource placements you can actually memorize and plan opening claims around. That matters more than it sounds. Offworld's whole skill curve lives in reading resource density fast and deciding whether to go aluminum-first or gamble on a water monopoly, and static real-terrain maps turn that read into a learnable build order the way a fixed StarCraft ladder map does.
