GamerScout Verdict
Best for couch multiplayer nights; skip if you play solo or want competitive depth.

About Nintendo Switch Sports
I spent a few evenings with Switch Sports and it does what it sets out to do: give you six sports (tennis, bowling, chambara, badminton, volleyball, soccer) you can jump into with minimal learning curve. Motion controls are responsive enough, and local co-op is where this shines. Pick it up, swing the controller, watch something happen on screen. The appeal is immediate and honest. The catch is that there's not much meat on the bones once the novelty wears off. Online multiplayer exists but feels bolted-on compared to the couch experience. Career modes are thin, and the progression loop won't hold you past a week or two unless you've got a steady group of friends who want to keep playing. It's a party game first, a competitive sim never. If that's what you're after, it delivers. If you want something to sink 50 hours into solo, look elsewhere.
