NBA 2K24 Kobe Bryant Edition
NBA 2K24 on PC is a solid annual hoops sim for franchise builders and MyPlayer grinders, but the Kobe edition doesn't do much to justify upgrading if you own last year's version.
GamerScout Verdict
Solid for franchise builders and MyTeam grinders; skip it if 2K23 scratches your hoops itch.

About NBA 2K24 Kobe Bryant Edition
I went in expecting the usual 2K formula, and that's exactly what you get here. MyCareer mode lets you build a custom player from scratch, MyTeam's card-collecting endgame is still the main money sink, and franchise mode is deep enough for folks who want to sim through seasons. The on-court gameplay is responsive with gamepad, and online matchmaking is reasonably fast if your internet holds up. The catch is there's nothing groundbreaking in the 2024 edition. It's an incremental roster update and minor tweaks to dribble mechanics. If you're not a hardcore annual upgrader, stick with 2K23. The Kobe Bryant branding is cool cosmetically, but it doesn't change how the game plays. PC port runs fine on mid-range hardware, though online lag can be rough during peak hours. Best for franchise sim enthusiasts and MyTeam collectors who need the latest rosters, not casual ballers looking for something fresh.
