Miitopia
A lighthearted RPG where your Mii party members face off against a dark lord, but the real hook is customizing ridiculous character lineups and watching them struggle through turn-based combat.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for players who want a relaxed RPG experience and think assembling a ridiculous Mii lineup is worth the price of admission.

About Miitopia
Miitopia is Nintendo's oddball spin on classic JRPG structure, except instead of recruiting heroes, you're building a roster of your Miis and other people's creations. The core loop is simple: explore, fight monsters in turn-based battles, level up, repeat. What elevates it above "Mii game of the month" status is how much personality shines through when your custom characters land critical hits or flub their turn entirely. The story is deliberately goofy and doesn't take itself seriously, which pairs well with watching your uncle's Mii in a wizard hat cast spells. The downside is that the game is very forgiving and follows a rigid path. There's no real strategy or build depth, and the combat animations can feel slow even with the fast-forward option. If you're looking for meaningful RPG mechanics or challenge, this isn't it. But if you want a cozy, character-focused adventure that lets you stuff your entire friend group into one save file and laugh at the results, Miitopia scratches that itch without demanding your time.
