METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Guns of the Patriots - Master Collection Version
A cinematic swan song that asks you to sit through hours of cutscenes for some of the sharpest stealth Kojima ever built. Worth it if you know the backstory.
GamerScout Verdict
Best for Metal Gear veterans who want Snake's finale on PC and will forgive the cutscene-heavy pacing.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

About METAL GEAR SOLID 4: Guns of the Patriots - Master Collection Version
Before this game gives you anything, it wants your attention span. MGS4 opens by asking for patience across long stretches of cutscene, dense exposition about PMCs and nanomachines, and a plot that assumes you remember who Big Boss was. Push through and you get an aging Solid Snake sneaking through Middle Eastern war zones with the OctoCamo suit, which adapts to whatever surface you press against and turns every wall into cover. The weapon customization at Drebin's shop is genuinely good, letting you bolt suppressors and scopes onto rifles mid-mission, and the shift from pure stealth to picking sides in active firefights gives Act 1 and 2 real texture. Where it disappoints is the back half. Later acts trade open infiltration for corridors and boss setpieces, and the pacing gets lopsided when the cutscene-to-play ratio tilts hard. This Master Collection release is a straight port with achievements, cloud saves and controller support rather than a remake, so expect the original's rough edges intact. Newcomers will be lost. Series veterans finally get Snake's ending on PC.
