About Medievaly: Battle Simulator
I spent enough time with Medievaly to see what Steelkrill is chasing here: a tactical sandbox where resource scarcity and unpredictable unit behavior force constant decision-making. You're managing food, morale, and troop composition across multiple skirmishes, and the simulation actually punishes lazy positioning. The AI doesn't follow predetermined patrol routes, it reacts, it flanks, it sometimes does something stupid that saves your underdog army. The catch is that Medievaly wears its indie budget openly. The tutorial assumes you'll read tooltips, the UI demands attention, and there's no pause-and-plan mode. This isn't Crusader Kings; it's closer to a chaotic Real-Time Tactics experiment. If you want emergent medieval scraps where luck and adaptation matter as much as doctrine, the mechanics deliver. If you need polish or hand-holding, keep walking. Diego, Scout Team
