About Fire Emblem: Warriors (Nintendo Switch) Key
I've seen plenty of strategy series try the Warriors formula, and Fire Emblem's 2017 swing works because it doesn't pretend to be anything else. You plan formations and unit matchups on a grid like classic Fire Emblem, then jump into real-time 1v100 skirmishes where timing and positioning replace turn order. The roster pulls from across the franchise - Awakening, Fates, Shadow Dragon - so there's fan service depth even if the story itself is paper-thin. The problem is scope. Maps are repetitive, mission variety runs thin fast, and the tactical layer feels more like seasoning than the main course. Co-op is a nice pull for local play, but doesn't fix the fact that you're grinding the same battlefields for skill books and support conversations. This scratches a specific itch: Fire Emblem fans who want action instead of analysis, or Warriors players curious about strategy. Anyone else should look elsewhere.
