Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.

Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.

We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Euro Truck Simulator 2 - Viking Legends (DLC)

I'll be honest: the first time a friend put Euro Truck Simulator 2 on the Saturday night rotation I thought it was a joke. Ninety minutes later I was white-knuckling a left-hand bend outside Calais at 2 AM with 25 tonnes of frozen peas on the trailer, and nobody was laughing anymore. That loop of tension, careful throttle control, and the slow exhale when you nail a tight dock reversal is genuinely hard to put down, and it explains why this game has sat at 97% positive across nearly a million Steam reviews more than a decade after launch. The core structure is a business-building RPG wrapped inside a driving sim. You start broke and truck-less, taking quick jobs for other companies just to earn enough XP and in-game cash to secure a bank loan on your first rig. From there you expand garages, hire AI drivers, and build a freight empire spanning the condensed-but-still-massive road network that stretches from the UK to Poland and down into Italy. The management layer is light enough that it never becomes a spreadsheet chore, but it gives every haul a sense of purpose beyond the drive itself. Difficulty is adjustable across most simulation assists, so a complete newcomer can lean on automatic gears and simplified physics while a wheel-and-pedal setup owner can chase realistic 12-speed manual shifts, three separate brake types, and fuel economy pressure with 25 tonnes behind them. Steering wheel force feedback was rewritten from the ground up in a later update and runs at 120 Hz, which means the game actually punches above its age for peripheral support. The online side has two paths. The built-in Convoy mode lets up to 128 players (as of update 1.50) share a session with synchronized traffic, weather, and time, and you can all take the same job and roll together. Mods are supported in Convoy lobbies, though everyone in the session needs matching files and load order, which is a mild faff worth knowing upfront. If you want truly massive-scale trucking, the third-party TruckersMP mod hosts thousands of players on persistent servers and has its own established community. Neither option is split-screen, so the couch four-player fantasy stays a fantasy, but two people on separate PCs in the same room calling out traffic on Discord is its own kind of magic. The in-game radio streams real European stations live, which only adds to the vibe. The weaknesses are real but manageable. The base map, generous as it is, locks several countries like Italy, France, and Scandinavia behind paid DLC, which can sting if you buy in expecting the full continental picture. AI traffic behaviour is the game's sorest spot: other road users occasionally make chaotic decisions and the penalty system sometimes fines you for accidents that were clearly the AI's fault. City environments use visual shorthand rather than faithful recreation, so do not expect to spot your favourite local roundabout. And for pure arcade racing fans, the 90 km/h speed cap and deliberate pacing will feel like homework rather than a game. The audience this works for is anyone who finds meditative, methodical driving genuinely satisfying, or who wants a co-op session that sparks actual conversation instead of competitive adrenaline.
