About Duck Dynasty
I went in expecting a serious duck-hunting sim tied to the reality TV franchise, but Duck Dynasty is actually a straightforward arcade shooter. You aim, you click, ducks fall. It's mechanically competent if unremarkable, think early 2000s Flash games but packaged as a retail release. The Duck Dynasty branding is there mostly for decoration; the core loop doesn't lean into the show's humor or characters in any meaningful way. For a 2014 casual title, it's fine in a vacuum. The problem is positioning: this feels like a mobile game that wandered onto PC storefronts at full price. If you've got nostalgia for the show and want 30 minutes of mindless shooting, it exists. Everyone else should pass.
