Desperados 3
A real-time tactics puzzle box where every guard patrol is a lock and your five outlaws are the keys. Quicksave-heavy, punishing, and deeply satisfying when a plan lands.
GamerScout Verdict
Essential for stealth-tactics fans who enjoy replaying a level six times to find the clean solution.

Every store in this table quotes us in euros, so the EUR figure is the price the seller actually set, not our arithmetic — which is why EUR is also the currency we rank in. We only list an offer here when the store gives us its price in euros, so nothing in this table is a number we invented.
Pick USD, PLN, GBP, CAD or AUD in the header and we convert from EUR at the European Central Bank reference rate — converted amounts are prefixed with ~. Your bank or the store may apply a different rate at checkout. We never hide offers based on where you are: everyone sees this whole table.
We may earn a commission when you buy games through links on this page — at no extra cost to you. It never affects our rankings or verdicts.

About Desperados 3
Commandos fans will recognize the bones here instantly, but Desperados 3 makes one change that matters more than any other: Showdown Mode, which freezes time so you can queue actions across your whole squad and fire them off in one synchronized beat. That single system turns what used to be frantic save-scumming into something closer to a chess problem. You scout a ranch full of overlapping guard cones, figure out which two men have to drop in the same second, and set it up. Cooper's coin toss, Doc McCoy's sniper rifle and bag lure, Hector's bear trap, Kate's disguises, Isabelle's mind-linked voodoo pairs. Each character is a distinct verb, and levels are built so no single verb solves anything alone. What it isn't is forgiving or fast. You will reload constantly, and if you dislike trial-and-error stealth you will bounce hard. The Wild West story is serviceable pulp at best, and mission length can run long past where the puzzle stopped being interesting. But the level design is genuinely top-tier, and the difficulty badges give you replay goals that are actual design challenges rather than padding. If you want tactics with teeth, this is the modern high-water mark.
